LIGHTING YOUR SPACE

When it comes to designing a space, lighting is a crucial element that should never be overlooked. Not only does it provide a functional purpose of lighting the room, but it can also set the mood for the space! First up is the Dining Room! Chandeliers and pendants are excellent lighting options for dining rooms, and here's a guide to help you choose the perfect lighting for your dining room table! Firstly, consider the size of your dining table. As a general rule, your chandelier or pendant should be approximately one-third the width of your table. This ensures that the lighting is proportional to the size of the table and doesn't overwhelm the space. Next, think about the height of your ceiling. For higher ceilings, a longer pendant or chandelier with multiple tiers can create a stunning focal point for the room. For lower ceilings, a shorter pendant or chandelier with a simpler design can still provide adequate lighting without overwhelming the space. When it comes to choosing the style of your lighting fixture, consider the overall design of your dining room. A classic crystal chandelier can add a touch of elegance to a traditional dining room, while a sleek and modern pendant can complement a contemporary space.

KITCHEN ISLANDS

When it comes to designing a kitchen, lighting can make all the difference. A well-lit kitchen can make it easier to prepare meals, work on projects, and entertain guests. Chandeliers and pendants over kitchen islands are a popular lighting choice that can add both style and functionality to your space. Chandeliers are a great way to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to your kitchen. They come in a variety of styles, from traditional to modern, and can be made from a range of materials, including crystal, glass, and metal. When choosing a chandelier for your kitchen, it's important to consider the size of your space, as well as the height of your ceiling. A larger chandelier may look beautiful in a spacious kitchen with high ceilings, but it could overwhelm a smaller space. Pendants are another popular lighting choice for kitchen islands. They are versatile and can be used to create a variety of looks, from sleek and modern to rustic and industrial. Pendants come in a range of shapes, sizes, and materials, making it easy to find the perfect fit for your kitchen. When choosing pendant lights, it's important to consider the height of your ceiling, as well as the size and shape of your island. A larger island may require multiple pendants to provide adequate lighting. Check out these tips for lighting an Island!

PICTURES & BEDROOMS

When it comes to hanging a light above a picture frame, it's essential to consider the size of the frame and the room. If the picture frame is small, we suggest using a small spotlight or a smaller picture light! If your frame is larger or oversized, we recommend using a larger light. As a general rule it should be ½ of the width of the frame, or less depending on the desired look! When hanging a chandelier above a bed, we recommend following the rule of thumb that it should be at least 7 feet from the ground and centered in the middle of the bed or the bedroom, depending on the look you’re going for. This ensures that the chandelier is proportionate to the size of the room and does not overpower the bed. Additionally, the chandelier should be hung high enough so that it does not interfere with movement around the bed, but low enough to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
